The oldest town of Denmark
Only few places in the country you see like here the entire mediaeval centre of the town is preserved with old half-timbered houses and streets with paving stones. The eye will all the time get new impressions. Suddenly the cathedral will raise at the end of a street or you can get a unexpected look at the flat salt meadows where the cows are grazing undisturbed. But also the details makes Ribe a very special town: half-timbered houses with beautifully cut out wood
work, doors with ingenious decorations and street lamps as they looked at the time of great-grandmother.
Ribe is absolutely worth a visit.
